  • Plaistow Recreation Commission 
    We are looking for additional members to join the Plaistow Recreation Commission. The Recreation Commission meets the second Wednesday of the month to discuss ways to improve the wide variety of recreational services that are provided to the town.     Do you enjoy knitting, crocheting, or cross stitching? If so, stop by with your supplies and share with us what fun new project you are working on.

    Cards and Coffee Talk 10a-12p
    Stop by with a friend for a game of 45’s. If 45’s is not your card game of choice, bring another game of your liking.

    BINGO and Coffee Talk 10-12p
    Join us at the Recreation office for 5 free games of BINGO. Prizes will be given to BINGO winners.


  • Kids Night Out!
    Brown Bag Dinner and a Movie at the Plaistow Library
    Friday, October 29th, 5:30-7:30 pm
    Kids ages 6+
    Plaistow Library and Recreation are teaming up to host Kid’s Night Out at the Library. (Sshh…. Parents Night Off!!)
    We will be showing Scooby Doo in the Nelson Room up on the big screen. This is a drop off event, space is limited. For more information and to register visit Plaistowlibrary.com


  • Toddler Trick or Treat
    Friday, October 29th 10-12pm
    We've got all the treats and none of the tricks! Trick or treating with the big kids can be scary for the little ones. Join us as we trick or treat at the businesses along Main Street.

  • Elder Affairs Halloween Movie at the Library
    Friday, October 29, 2021 @1 pm
    Join us in the Nelson Room, at the Plaistow Library, for a movie on the big screen with surround sound and popcorn.  This fun Halloween feature is the original Ghostbusters from 1984, rated PG 108 minutes.

  • Annual Pumpkin Lighting
    Saturday October 30th, 4-6 pm
    Join us for the annual Pumpkin lighting festival. Bring a carved pumpkin to display along the sidewalks of the Town Green. Pumpkins will be illuminated at 5:00 pm. Prizes will be awarded for the Scariest, Most Creative, and Funniest pumpkins. There will be family friendly entertainment and games. Halloween costumes are always welcome.


  • Trick or Treat
    Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 5-7pm.
    Be creative with how you pass out your candy. We suggest offering candy that is spread across a table rather than in a bucket or bowl, this limits the number of hands touching the candy. Wear bright clothing or glow necklaces and trick or treat in your neighborhoods. Parents, please check all candy and treats before your children eat them.
