  • Plaistow Recreation Commission 
    We are looking for additional members to join the Plaistow Recreation Commission. The Recreation Commission meets the second Wednesday of the month to discuss ways to improve the wide variety of recreational services that are provided to the town.   • Weekly "Coffee Talk" - Program for Seniors
    "Coffee Talk" takes place every Wednesday from 10 am -12 pm, at the Plaistow Recreation Office. Space is limited to 10 spots. Please reach out to Jenn,  at 603-382-5200*204, to reserve your spot. 
    • Wednesday December 1st - *We will be at the Vic Geary for Wreath Making from 10-1 pm.
    • Wednesday, December 8th - Knitting Circle- Stop by with your supplies and share with us what fun new project you are working on.
    • Wednesday, December 15th - Craft Event - we will be making Christmas ornaments with buttons.  
    • Wednesday, December 22nd - Christmas Trivia and Yankee Swap.  Bring a small $5.00 gift to swap with the group. 
    • Wednesday, December 29th - BINGO. 10 spots available, call Jenn to reserve spot.

  • Wreath Making - Community Event
    Tuesday November 30th 
    5:30-8 pm at Vic Geary Drop in Center,
    Residents $12.00 Non-Residents $16.00
    Plaistow Recreation will provide all items needed for you to assemble a festive 14-inch holiday wreath. Friends of Plaistow Recreation will be on hand selling beautiful custom-made bows.

  • Wreath Making Event - Senior Event
    Wednesday December 1st  
    10 am -1 pm,  Vic Geary Drop in Center
    Residents $6.00 Non-Residents $10.00.
    Plaistow Recreation will provide all items needed to assemble a festive 10-inch holiday wreath. Call Jenn at 603-382-5200 *204 to reserve a spot. Materials fee must be paid in advance to hold your place.
  • Christmas Tree Lighting 
    December 5, 2021 5-7 pm
    Plaistow’s Annual Tree Lighting will be held on December 5th at the Town Hall on the Town Green at 5 pm.  Caroling and pictures with Santa around the tree following the Lighting. 
  • Little Kids Holiday Craft
    Friday, December 10, 2021, 10:00-11:00 am Ages 4-6

  • Elder Affairs Movie
    December 10th Movie at the Plaistow Library. 1-3 pm
    Join Plaistow Elder Affairs in the Nelson Room, at the Plaistow Library, for a movie on the big screen with surround sound and popcorn.  We will be watching a fun new Christmas movie featuring Kurt Russell. 20 spots available, call Jenn to reserve spot.
  • Kids Night Out!
    Brown Bag Dinner and a Movie at the Plaistow Library
    Friday, December 10th, 5:30-7:30 pm
    Recreation and the Plaistow Library are teaming up to Host Kid's
     Night Out at the library!  (Sshh....Parent's Night Off!)

  • Tinsel Tree Craft
    Grades 6-12
    Monday, December 13th, 4-6 pm
    Join Jenn at the Plaistow Recreation office to create a sparkling tinsel Christmas tree. All the supplies will be provided. Space is limited (10 seats available) Register at Plaistow.com/recreation.
  • Community Trip, Bright Night Holiday Trip
    December 16, 2021
    Pick up location- PARC 51 Old County Rd, Plaistow, NH 03865
    8 am -830 pm, Trip Price 28.00 per person

  • Show us Your Lights
    Plaistow Recreation will be creating a map of all the homes in Plaistow with the most festive outdoor holiday light displays.  If you would like to be added to our map, e-mail recreation@plaistow.com by 12/13/21.  Maps will be posted on our Instagram and Facebook pages by 12/15/2021. Print outs will be available at the Town Hall, Town Hall Annex and Plaistow Library. It’s the season of giving, so each entry will be entered into a raffle for a $25.00 gift card to Market Basket. Winner will be contacted by December 20, 2021.
  • Letters to Santa
    Stop by the gazebo at the Town Hall and drop off your letters to Santa. No postage necessary.
    Letters will be collected and mailed to the North Pole every few days between December 5th and December 20th.  Contact Recreation@plaistow.com for more information.
  • School Vacation Week

    • Ice Skating - Plaistow Recreation is heading to the Ice Rink, lace up your skates and grab your mittens! Join us on Tuesday December 28th 12-2pm. Admission to the Rink is on us, skates rentals are available for $4.00 a pair.  Veterans Memorial Skating Rink, 137 Monument St, Haverhill, MA 01832.
    • Movies - Plaistow Recreation would like you to join us at the movies. We are going to see SING 2!! Show starts at 10 am on Thursday December 30th. Tickets are only $5.00 per person and must be purchased through Plaistow.com/Recreation.
